2012-2013 Montague-Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) Scholars

The 2012-2013 Montague-Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) Scholars have been announced. This awards program, started in 1991, is named after its founding donor, Kenneth Montague ’37, and honors early-career excellence in undergraduate teaching at Texas A&M. Each academic college annually selects one tenure-track faculty member for the Montague-CTE Scholar designation. These scholars receive a $6,500 grant to encourage further development of undergraduate teaching excellence. This awards program allows the university to develop model faculty and to recognize excellence and promise in the teaching profession early in a faculty member’s career. The scholars will be honored at a luncheon on Nov. 15. The Montague-CTE scholars for this year are:

  • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: Kyle Woosnam
  • College of Architecture: Xuemei Zhu
  • Mays Business School: Nate Sharp
  • College of Education and Human Development: Mandy Rispoli
  • Dwight Look College of Engineering: Erick Moreno-Centeno
