New Texas A&M University Police Officers Graduate

The Texas A&M University Police Department would like to welcome six new police officers to the department: Officers James Adcock Jr., Andy Blauser, Yolanda Hickman, Felipe Lopez, Charles McWhinney, and Kim Pruitt. The officers recently graduated from the Central Texas Police Academy’s 150th Basic Police Officer Course on June 8. Graduation from the academy is the first step in their journey to serving the Texas A&M University community.

On June 11, the new officers reported for duty at the police department to begin their field training. The officers will spend the next 20 weeks paired with Field Training Officers to learn the daily duties of a police officer at Texas A&M University.

  1. Congratulations to these 6 new officers for making it through the basic course. Having retired from UPD after 29 years of service, I can assure them they will see and do things that few people ever have the opportunity to be involved in. Good luck, and stay safe.
